The Statue of Liberty sits in the Hudson River at the entrance to New York Harbor, welcoming visitors into New York City. Kate and I have both been inside Lady Liberty, so during this trip to NYC we decided that we would just wave hello from a distance. This photograph was taken from the Staten Island Ferry, one of the most interesting things to do in New York City, and it doesn’t cost a penny. If you do take the ferry - avoid the crowds and ride on the low deck. 170mm at f9.5
