Happy July! We welcomed the first of July by sleeping until noon to recover from the drive from New York City the night before. Wednesday was a very rainy day. We opted not to go to camp as the rain had made for lots of stir-crazy kids after playing inside all day. So instead, Carey, Brett and I ventured to Newport Creamery. Brett enjoyed his root beer float while Carey and I ate a cookiewich filled with chocolate peanut butter icecream. It was a fun evening catching up with Carey.

Thursday was spent in Boston. Brett and I went with Carey into Boston to visit our friend Sarah. The first part of the trip was spent in Back Bay (our old stomping grounds) and then we headed to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The museum was fantastic - so very interesting. From there we headed to Sarah’s to chat before having dinner in Boston’s North End. After dinner we headed to Mike’s Pastry and picked up some goodies. I had the most delicious toffee bar!
It was great walking around Boston. So many memories of living in Boston came back to Brett and I as we walked the streets of the place we used to call home. At some point we hope to find ourselves back in Boston as it is one of our favorite places.
Aunt Kate, will you take me to Boston one day and show me the aquarium? Please!
