Stopover in Indy

Stopover in Indy

Days 68, 69 and 70 - 6/21 thru 6/23

We headed out from the Family Camping Trip on Sunday morning, had breakfast with mom and dad at their hotel (their version of camping) and then made our way South to Indianapolis. We stopped over at Uncle Greg’s new house in Castleton - both to check out his new home and to see everyone at the Father’s Day gathering. His house looks so great. The hardwood floors and neutral paint did wonders as did the new kitchen and new furniture. It really pays right now to be a first time home buyer. Brett and I are a bit disappointed that we don’t qualify - not that we know where we would buy a house at this point anyway.

We enjoyed seeing Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Mark and Uncle Greg, being surprised by Sarah, Hunter and Marilyn for a bit and chatting about what’s been going on during our trip. We were also quite excited to go pick up Bolivar though and hang out with our puppydog. It appeared that he missed us quite a bit but didn’t seem to mind getting spoiled rotten by my parents either.

It was evident how big Marilyn had gotten when I saw her next to Bolivar. All weekend Marilyn had been playing with other kids who were typically bigger than her, so she didn’t look to have grown that much; however seeing her tower over Bolivar was quite another site.

Aunt Ronna, Uncle Jim and Joshua stopped by for a few minutes for hugs and chatting as well.

Sofi got an oil change, vacuumed out, repacked and a car wash. Brett and I went to the Greenwood Library to pick up some books to read on the NY & New England leg of the trip. We had a few play dates with Miss Marilyn and lunch with Sarah.

It was so great to see everybody and so much sooner than any of us thought it would be. Now we’re off for an East Coast Exploration - we will head to NY and then venture into each of the New England states. We are ready to have some fun, see some friends and spend time with Brett’s family. Ready or not, here we come!
