This is a two for one - great food and a Route 66 roadside attraction all rolled up into one! Ted Drewes Frozen Custard is a very interesting place - good frozen custard and a funky building right along a now bustling street in St Louis.

The building itself is very interesting - there’s this edging all around it to make it look like it’s frozen, which only adds to the kitschy feel. Kate ordered a dish called ‘All Shook Up’ which is the signature vanilla frozen custard covered with banana slices and broken up peanut butter cups.
The verdict: There’s a reason this is a well-loved local treat. The frozen custard is top notch and the variety of toppings is a bit overwhelming. If you’re in the St Louis area I’d recommend picking up some frozen custard, it will cool you down quickly.
It’s a shame you can’t send one of those home. It looks yummy!!!
