Whenever we are on the East coast, Brett and I try to swing through Boston. We visited the East for Christmas and New Years so that we could see Brett’s family before we started our big adventure. We were planning at the time to hop on a sailboat and cruise the high seas for a few years, so the goodbye trip was essential. We were able to see Craig and Maggie, Brett’s parents, as well as Brett’s grandparents during our Christmas tour. We made two trips into Boston during our twelve day vacation.
We have very fond memories of starting our life together in Boston. We roamed around our old stomping grounds including Back Bay’s Newbury Street and Comm Ave. We ate at The Upper Crust and Regina’s Pizzeria. We tromped around Fanuiel Hall, the State House and Beacon Hill. We took a break at Au Bon Pain before walking Harvard’s campus. We realized just how much we missed having mass transit at our disposal.
We know we’ll be returning to Beantown on our next trip out East – but it is always so bittersweet to leave thanks to all of the amazing memories we’ve had there.
