Kate and I are members at the Indianapolis Zoo and have been taking our niece Marilyn to see the animals since last year at this time, when she was about six weeks old. Zoo Boo is a special Halloween event they do where lots and lots of little kids get dressed up in ridiculously cute costumes and walk around trick-or-treating, bowling with pumpkins and participating in normal zoo activities with Halloween themes.

This year Marilyn dressed up as a ladybug. Now she’s actually old enough to be walking around she gets a lot more out of the zoo, pointing and gawking at all of the different animals. I think it’s all a little much for her to take in all at once, all of the different animals and whatnot, but she still manages to have a good time.
