We have closed on the house. It is a very exciting time as it puts us one step closer to realizing our goals; however, I can say that it is bittersweet. We owned the house one week shy of a year. We gutted it and transformed it. It was the perfect house for us. Dad and mom helped us put down the hardwood floors. I had my first encounter with a nail gun building the pantry and master bedroom closets. We fell in love with this cute little home. We were afraid that we would not be able to find a buyer as it is a unique house - but luckily Jessica found us and it will work perfectly for her and Hannah.

We have moved into the loft at my parents house and will remain here until we depart in early 2009. Brett is amazing when it comes to moving in with his inlaws for the second time. We stayed here for 3 months when we returned from South America is 2006 until we found jobs and moved back into the condo. I appreciate his patience and flexibility more than he knows.

We sold most of the furniture with the house and the other items we were able to sell on craigslist prior to closing. With the exception of the clothes we have with us at my parents house - all of our possessions now fit into eleven 20 gallon plastic totes, plus Brett’s bikes.
